Mummy, Happy Birthday!

At the stroke of mid night, Daddy smiled to me lovingly and whispered, "Happy Birthday!" and I immediately warmed up. He was the first person to send me birthday greetings. I already had a feeling this would be an amazing day.

We didn't waste our time and Cheryl and I got down to doing some handicraft. We cut out some pictures from magazines and with a little glue, and magnetic sheet, I turned these cut-outs into fridge magnets! Cheryl loves fridge magnets!

Cheryl also gave a very heart-warming greeting when she screamed at the top of her lungs, "Mummy, Happy Birthday!" Then she proceeded to scream me the birthday song. Usually, Cheryl's got a pretty good sense of rhythm but because she was yelling, the key was all off. For effort, she still gets an A. Thank you, Darling!

Daddy went to work but he took the afternoon off to spend time with us. We had earlier planned to go to the Bird Park but inside information at 3pm; (Thank you, Aunt Rina) told us that it was pouring in the West so we abandoned our feathered plans and headed for the newly opened Giant at Tampines. Of course, there after, we went to our favourite hunt; Ikea.

Isn't this apt? How big can our hearts be? Very very big!!

As it was still early, Daddy brought Cheryl to see her favourite ponies at Pasir Ris Park. She was delighted to see them and even wanted us to pat the ponies.

We adjourned for dinner at My Secret Garden; the place was a real secret because we couldn't find the place initially.

The food was alright but I guess, it was really the company that gave it the magic. What else can I ask for? I spent the day with the loves of my life; my husband and our little darling.

I love this picture!

These shots were taken before the arrival of the food. Cheryl was keeping herself entertained by making funny faces and this was her attempting to blow out the tea light. Darling, your birthday ... okay. Daddy and Mummy promise that there will be a cake and candles for you to blow out.
"You have 60 more birthdays with me." This was what Daddy said to me just before bed time. Yah.. I would like this.
Thank you, Dear!
