craft time

I guess a shorter traveling time does make a lot of difference. :) For one, I am not dead tired by the time I got back and we can start working on C's homework and nightly activities earlier.

This evening, C said she wanted to do her craft so we sat ourselves down and did this.

After that, we packed her snack for school.
This very pretty lunch box is from Aunt Margaret. Inside, we prepared her ham and wholemeal sandwich along with some fresh strawberries.

Oh, a happy girl!

C and I decided that a Sigg water bottle isn't suitable after all. In a matter of 5 weeks, she has changed 2 bottles because our Spark, a girl she may be, isn't that gentle.

Well, I should say, she isn't that careful because she often drops her bottle and being metal, they dent easily and I am not about to get her another only to have it turned out of shape again. So what does a busy busy Mummy do?

Turn to the Internet for help. Haha! Seriously, this is the end of week 1 of the new school year and although it has been a good, happy and productive 1st work week, I am spending a lot of time in school. This came in the mail today.

I am not kidding, it came all the way from Korea.

But our Precious was delighted and that is worth millions! :)

Tokyo... Sanrio Puroland

Japan is Hello Kitty's homeland and since both C and I love this little kitty, we would never pass up a chance to pay her a visit. C was saying that she wanted to see her favourite kitty even before we went to Japan.

This is the train that we took.

Along the way...

Ah... the Kitty is in sight!

We quickly got our tickets and headed in. C was so amused when she saw them and then loudly exclaimed, "Mummy, I am taller than her!"

We caught the Parade.

Some of the rides ... we also went for a 3 D show which was very good!

Ahhh... so cute!

Figurines we saw as we rode in the boat.

Here we were, waiting for our turn to visit Kitty in her house.

It was so pretty inside!

C was in her bath and on her bed! Hee

After queuing for about 20 minutes, we finally got to see Kitty! C was so happy, she ran forward and gave her a big hug.

Our picture with Kitty! (I gave Kitty a hug after that too!)

We caught a musical too.

C posing for shots! The theme park closes at 5 pm sharp and we arrived only in the afternoon hence we didn't manage to cover the entire place.

Posing for more pictures outside the theme park.

And then we adjourned for dinner at a local curry joint.

Our dinner... and then we headed back to the hotel for a good rest.

Instant noodles!

When C heard that we had a pack of Hello Kitty instant noodles, she was intrigued. Then she asked to see it. I told her that this noodles came from a faraway place and it is not sold in Singapore. She thought for a while and then asked if we had been to that place and I said that we had, twice in fact.

Then she exclaimed very loudly, "Is it Hong Kong?" Yes, this little thing did come from Hong Kong and I didn't have the heart to eat it because it was so cute.

Once the pack of noodles was opened, C peered inside and saw that there were many tiny "Hello Kitty"s inside!

Some hot water and 3 minutes later, the noodles was ready.

Our Baby enjoying her noodles. This was the first time she tried instant noodles and I gave her the noodles without the soup but she liked it all the same.

more bento!

This was one of C's many birthday presents from the previous year and I didn't let her play with it till now.

She was up on her changing table when she caught sight of this and wanted us to let her play with it. She was really excited and went about naming the items in the bento. The "food" looked good enough to eat if you ask me and Daddy and I were not surprised that she tried to put them in her mouth.

She stacked up the different levels and it did look like a real bento set!

Look what came in today!

Cheryl and I finally got our hands on these very pretty decals!

When I first told Cheryl that I had ordered some HK decals for her, she couldn't stop talking for the longest time and this evening, we finally received them.

Cheryl was all excited and she wanted to paste the huge sticker on her cupboard. I told her to keep it for use later when she does get her own wardrobe.

I also got some small decals for my boring Toyogo drawers at work.

P.S: Aunt Di, if you are keen on some, I can pass them to you. See the decals of Kitty and the hibiscus flowers? Can be used on the doors of your kitchen cabinets!

Update:
I pasted some of the decals on my drawers!! And I love them! It would be perfect if my drawers are in pink but I think it will be impossible to find... at least for now and for a long time.

went hunting...

Yesterday, Cheryl wanted to go Hello Kitty shopping but because the weather was killing me, I decided against leaving the house. C was rather disappointed but she was willing to make do with a Strawberry Short Cake VCS. So today, to make it up for her, Aunt Di and I went Hello Kitty hunting!

I got some pretty neat and practical stuff which C could use and when she saw what I had bought for her, she was all smiles! I am beat from all the walking around but to see how happy C was, I felt it was all worth it.

Hello Kitty

My little obsession with Hello Kitty has rubbed off on C and she has become quite a fanatic herself. She wanted a Hello Kitty brollie which I firmly told her no as she already has an umbrella at home which she hasn't used.

But she did get her Hello Kitty float.

Anyways, she said that she wanted to do some colouring this evening so after her music session with me, we sat down at the dining table to do this.

She started by looking for the corresponding sticker to the picture that is to be coloured.

Then she followed the colours on the stickers and look for matching colours to put on Hello Kitty.

The almost-completed product...

The final masterpiece... which is not too far off from the sticker.
