When we opened the mail box yesterday, C was jumping for joy literally when she saw two letters. The letter head was a logo C has come to recognise and she knew instinctively that Rong has written to her.

This was not written by the little girl who is currently attending pre-school. A volunteer from the organisation had helped her pen her thoughts down but we were thrilled to receive word from her. There was also a photograph enclosed and this recent picture featured a taller and more mature-looking Rong; quite different from the first picture we have of her. 

C would be spending some time these days replying her. :)

It has been slightly more than 6 months since C got acquainted with this 6-year old. This morning, she got down to making these beautiful Loom friendship bands for her little friend and brother in China. 

There were strict guidelines as to how big the envelope should be and what gifts to send so I guess these friendship bands that she made herself are the perfect presents as they could easily fit the envelope. Moreover, we also preferred that she gave them something she took time and effort to come up with. C ended off the letter with "I hope you like the friendship bands." Well, we hope the same too. :)
