Yah, these pictures were taken more than a decade ago but God has been kind to us. We have been well provided for and taken care of by Him these years. The charming and funny husband is still as and his biggest fan must be his darling daughter.
He has been traveling for most of these months. C will listen out for the clatter of the wheels of his luggage hitting the cement floor; that's when she knows he is home. She literally runs out of the room and into her Daddy's arms. C isn't a small girl and the impact of her crashing into her Dad can knock him off his balance at times.
I appreciate the times when he stays up just so to keep me company while I mark. Or how he comments affectionately that I am exercising when I am finishing up housework. Sure, we have our "couple moments" - it would be the weekly car-washing sessions, and weekend afternoon tea while we wait for C to be done with her art class. C tells us that she is filled with that fizzy, warm feeling whenever she hears my laughter as we speak to each other , or when Daddy hugs me; she will drop whatever she is doing and embrace both of us.
Daddy was away this year and before he flew off, he expressed his disappointment for not being able to celebrate the day together. It didn't matter. It didn't matter because regardless the very little time he was around, he was present when he was and that was all that count.
"Blessed anniversary!"
