Cheryl had a little Mid Autumn celebration earlier when we visited Grand Mummy and Daddy. Aunt Diana had bought C her own lantern and after dinner, she went down to the playground for a little fun. She wasn't really into the lanterns but she was more interested in playing on the monkey bars with Daddy.
On Monday, we were trying to get Cheryl to come to bed, but she had other plans. She saw a carrier; one of those for the mooncakes, on the floor and stepped inside. She must be quite facinated that it could fit and I was like; since when did "Li Bai" of Sherton Towers sell such "mooncakes". It was a snug fit and when Cheryl tried to adjust herself, the whole package toppled over.
Trust her to do this! She is definitely very playful and very much a chip off old (Daddy's) block!
On Tuesday, the actual day of the Mid Autumn Festival, we met up with our God daughters and had a smashing time at the nearby park. We came very prepared with mats, hot flask, mooncakes, chinese tea and of course, lanterns.
The kids had a wonderful time playing way past bedtime!
