Compared to previous years, Zinnia had a relatively quiet celebration involving her parents, grandmother and uncles and aunt. Of course, Daddy, Cheryl and me are the privileged few to join in the celebrations. Zinnia's birthday is on 5 Nov.
Uncle JM brought the girls to Kids Explorer to play with balls and Cheryl who was there for the very first time was running around like a mad woman literally! She dived into the pool of balls and tried to bury herself under the balls.
Then there was this large enclosure of maze slides where the kids had to climb or crawl ... There were so many children there and it was just a little chaotic. C was squeezing into every little space or hole there was and I was following her. This was my first time in it and I felt like a hamster. C, Zinnia and Yeva behaved like professionals and they knew exactly what to do. I think kids just know what to do when they are playing and I was behind them, screaming out to them to slow down as I knocked my head on the bar above, or scrap my knees on the ropes below. Oh, I so don't know how to have fun!
After that, we went back to Zinnia's grand mother's place to have a nice steamboat dinner. I guess a small party like this has its advantages; Uncle JM and Aunt Angie could sit and eat together with us and we were chatting and laughing as we recollected old times or talked about our equally mischievous children. Zinnia was great too because she is ever the doting elder sister to both Yeva and Cheryl.
The little ones had so much fun and they just love making funnies faces at the camera. Zinnia closed her eyes to make a wish and when she opened them, the candles on the cake had been blown out by Cheryl and Yeva! Makes us wonder if "making a wish" was a trick invented so that there would not be a mad rush or scuffle to see who gets to blow the candles.
