On Thursday night, I woke up as usual to carry Cheryl back to her bed and I suddenly became very awake because I thought she felt like a little furnace. Upon further inspection, my fears were confirmed; she had come down with fever and I sighed disappointingly.
Just hours before, I was looking through her health booklet and announced to Daddy that it was time for her chicken pox jab. It is always a terrible ordeal for Little Cheryl and us whenever she has fever; she will vomit, will turn her nose up to all food, cry because she is so uncomfortable and of course, our changing of sheets in the middle of the nights... The only consolation is she has learned to take her meds quite willingly after some amount of coaxing. I had to insert a suppository as she almost threw up after just taking half a syringe. Of course, when I told her that I had to give her the suppository, her face crinkled up and she whined in protest but I was not going to risk not giving her any in case she went into another fit and turned blue in the face. That was a horrifying experience!
After that, she complained to Daddy that her "backside pain". Poor girl.
So for the past 2 nights, I would have to wake up more than usual in the nights to check on her temperature, make her take med and make milk. Luckily, Daddy was not rudely awaken by any awful smells and we didn't have to change any sheets this time.

hi
you dint leave your name behind.
was your son's fits brought on by the high fever too?
Although it has happened more than 1 yr ago, i can still vividly remember the incident.
