When she was an infant, much of the care-giving was done by the mother-in-law when I was at work and me when I was home in the evenings. When she was a toddler, Daddy's role included being that of a driver as he ferried her to her enrichment classes. That role has pretty much stayed. Haha.
Now that C is in primary school, Daddy has also become some what of a tutor for her too. He coaches her with her Math at home at times but for most parts, he is really her play mate. He would be the one C goes to when she wants to have fun.
Every night; that one hour before bed time- it is their private time. They would be chatting, and more often than not, laughing and teasing each other. They would be talking about the books they have read or are reading, or the movies they have watched or simply how their day had been.
C asked if we could take Daddy out for Father's Day dinner and so we did.
Happy Father's Day!
