Be the Salt and the Light!

Since our Church embarked on this project to "Love our Neighbours (Pasir Ris)", we have been faithfully participating. Be it the carnival held last December or this most recent one, we were happy that we were in Singapore to lend a hand. We usually would travel overseas during the school holidays but on these both occasions, we didn't and happily so.

We were part of the beach-cleaning team and after the first half of the morning's service, we went down with our team mates to Pasir Ris beach.

Then we started. Though it was only a short period of time, we went about picking up litter.  

In the short 15 minutes, this was what we managed. The beach usually looks clean but it was only upon close examination that we saw many pieces of broken glass, canned drinks and plastic bags and bottles. C picked up the pieces of broken glass because she said she wouldn't want people stepping on them. "It's dangerous because people go barefooted on the beach." :)
