Happy 38th!

C has the date marked out on her table calendar and my lovely family at home got me a delicious cake several days prior to the actual one. Then on Pi Day itself, my kakis at work brought me out for some fine dining. A good friend called Daddy and said that she had to come by to drop something off... . Work ended late that evening and I thought I should shelf my weekly house work (again).

Then C came to me with a birthday card and a cake which she and her Daddy had decorated.
Then she came to me with the gifts.

Both father and daughter insisted on switching off the lights and singing the song and it was a wonderful way to end the long day.

I was touched beyond words and as I thanked our Heavenly Father for all that He has showered me; I also asked that He watches over them: Mummy Dearest, fiercely supportive sisters, my colleagues who have become some of my best friends. Then of course, my husband who at times tells me the truth I don't want to hear, my little girl whom I feel is growing up too fast for me to keep up and our family friends who take time off their busy schedules to pick up such meaningful gifts.

May the good Lord bless and keep all of you in good health! :)

  • It's been a while since we sat ourselves in a plane. Definitely itching to fly over, to let our hair loose, to catch up with friends and be tourists.
