the Real Deal, our Baby's Party...

Today's the day that C's been waiting for. She has been talking about it for the longest time and every time she saw a cake (mine), she would ask if the cake was hers.

The children were really excited when Daddy carried these 2 large bags out of the room.

They couldn't wait for Daddy and Uncle JM to inflate them! And when the play thing was finally up, C and Uncle Ben wasted no time filling them with water.

Actually C get herself wet immediately one of the little float was filled. She didn't even wait to be changed and immediately jumped in!

C was not the only one who got wet! Daddy and Aunt Di having some fun themselves while filling the play items. The sun was scorching and I guess it wasn't such a bad idea to get a little wet.

Grand Mummy also busied herself with the mangoes she found. Earlier on, while she, Grand Daddy, Ben, Di and Margaret were strolling along the beach, they went oyster harvesting and they came back with many oysters. Grand Aunt June joked that if Grand Mummy were to stay at the chalet for another week, Grand Mummy would have found a way to pick the coconuts too. No kidding, Grand Mummy is a very resourceful woman and she can use just about anything to create something new.

C's little friends arrived shortly and they had a whale of a time! The place was filled with laughter and giggles. Oh, there was a kid who was loitering around when we were filling the pools; Aunt Di overheard him telling his maid that he wanted to play.

The spread! The food was good but the serving was a tad too small and they ran out even before 7 pm. Daddy and I were pretty embarrassed when some of our guests came around 7 and there were not much food left. The caterer was also extremely confident that there would not be any leftover that they didn't give us any packaways. Or they are aware that they do not provide any extra food so they know for sure that there will not be leftovers. hmmm (food for thought)

Our two little darlings on the bouncing castle after their shower. They are really cute and when they are fine with each other, oh, they are like inseparable twins.

Our little girl with her birthday cake!

Family portrait!

Later in the night, when all her guests have gone back, the girls had a wild time tearing off the wrapping papers of the presents!

A very delightful girl with her many gifts! Thank you for the wonderful gifts but more importantly, thank you for taking time off to attend her party. Your presence really made her a very happy girl!
