/ 4 yr old / Prep Talk

Prep Talk

Just before her bed time, I put her on our bed and told her that she would be starting school the next day.

Daddy and I reminded her that she must listen to her teachers and not "push" other children in class. She must always be polite and ask her teachers for permission to do things. And as I spoke, my tears just fell. I couldn't help but feel ... . Our girl is growing so fast and I am worried that we might have missed her. I know I have because I am already not taking her to school tomorrow. How time flies, wasn't she just a baby a while ago?

C got up and gave me a tight hug and she said to her Daddy, "Why is Mummy crying? Don't cry, Mummy. Pain? Where pain?"

I told her that Mummy was overjoyed that she is all grown up and is a big girl now.
