Cheryl's and Joshua's music lesson starts today and C was very excited. While in the car, she kept asking where her school was. We were the first to arrive in class and C couldn't contain herself. She sat at one of the keyboards and switched it on much to the teacher's amusement.
Joshua and Aunt Chloe arrived shortly and the class started soon after. Initially, C was alright but she got restless soon enough. I had to constantly remind her to sit and pay attention. There were many hands-on sessions and that kept her occupied.
The children also had the opportunity to play on the keyboard. They were taught to recognise the "C" note on the keyboard and they played it out loud.
C could placed the little charts correctly on the keyboard and play the right note.
The kids were given a bag with the materials needed for class. C has to listen to the CD inside to complete the assignment in the Activity book. Looks like it's going to be fun!
In no time, the one hour session was up and all of us went for lunch at Katong.
Aunt Chloe, Joshua and the ever-funny Uncle Eugene
We had noodles, porridge, and C's favourite rice and tim sum.
Just look at Joshua's delighted face! He really enjoys his "ha-gao"

no problem.
what you see c doing, she is recognising the letters that are used in music namely, A, B, C, D, E, F, G. then the kids also sang familiar songs like twinkle twinkle little star. they were given some cut outs to sway along with the song. first on the right hand then on the left.
a lot of activities are to practise hand coordination. both left and right hands.
i find the lessons good. :)
