Tokyo... Disney Land!

When our friends and colleagues learned that we would be going to Japan, they told us that we had to spend time at Disney Land because although the facade and rides would be similar, the experience would be a whole new thing. And oh, they were so right.

This is the view from our hotel. We were admiring the colours of the leaves and how well they contrasted with the rest of the background.

Arriving at Disney Land...

The place was crowded and yet there was order. There were many spots for photo-taking and even though there weren't any attendants or Disney Land personals around, some how the Japanese formed a line and waited for their turns for their shots. Very impressive indeed!

There was a parade going on just as we arrived and we stopped to enjoy the sight.

We went for a Minnie show.

Us, on the train ride.

We caught more of the parade in the afternoon before we went for lunch. Another time that impressed us immensely was how considerate the Japanese were. Those in the front were all seated so that they would not block people at the back. It was only later when the parade was over that I realised that it was a culture for them to bring mats so that they would not dirty their clothes as they sat on the floor. Another thing I realised, they were also huge on recycling. We always had to separate the plastic from the paper materials before we dispose of our rubbish.

Our lunch!

Then it was off to take more rides!

This might look like it was near closing time but would you believe me if I told you this was only 5 pm? Yes, night fall comes early. By the way, this was Goofy's house which was closed to the public, unfortunately.

Minnie's House.

Donald Duck's boat house

Chip and Dale's tree house.

Oh, C loved this ride! Like the previous time she was in Hong Kong, she drove too.

The night parade of lights! Truly a beautiful sight to behold! This was just one of the many, many floats that went by.

Our dinner! That egg you see there, it had already been shelled and it wasn't hard boiled. The yolk was still very soft and runny when I broke it open.

Bidding "goodbye" to the Happiest Place on Earth! C was pretty reluctant to leave and her face said it all.
