The Magic of Disneyland... Day 1

At 3.30 in the morning, both my Babies woke up and got themselves ready to head for the airport. C was all excited about the trip and she was going on and on about it and when the day finally arrived, I had no trouble waking her.

She was very cooperative and even helped with the luggage.

Waiting to board the plane...

C caught up with some sleep on the plane and when she awoke, it was breakfast time!

3 hrs later, we arrived at Hong Kong.

C told her Daddy Dearest that she wanted porridge; "Last time one, remember?" so we headed for the Dim Sum Restaurant we went the previous time.

And immediately after lunch, we headed straight for our destination. We caught sight of some vintage vehicles on Main Street and C climbed on board.

This was our second time to Disneyland and we had it all planned out. We knew the timing of the performances and stage shows and we gave ourselves ample time to walk there.

First stop was Adventure Land. The weather was hot and it was so sunny so we got the Lion King performance in the air conditioned auditorium; in the bid to also cool off.

The performance was terrific of course. The animals were so life like and the sound and stage effects were magnificent. I guess, you really need to be there to see and feel the magic. :)

C remembered Tarzan's Tree house and she wanted to visit it again so we hopped onto the raft and went along.

We caught the Water Parade on Main Street and we got wet! Hahaha! Yes, of course we were warned that we would but because it was so warm, getting a little wet was kind of welcoming.

After the Parade, we stopped for a quick snack. C was so hungry she was able to finish the entire sausage roll.

Then we were off to take more rides! Next up, mad Hatter's Tea Cups!

By the time the ride was done, I was feeling dizzy all over but C and Daddy were laughing at me.

Another street performance was coming up and we parked ourselves by the side of the walk way to enjoy the show. We were treated to the ever popular High School Musical! C was asked to dance along with them and she must have felt so shy because she didn't move a bit! Hehehe!

Then we went for another ride at yet another magical place...

We were queuing to watch "The Golden Mickeys".

The performance was great! Snippets of all their musicals were shown and to see the stars so close was a dream come true for all of us.

C loved the Carousel and there was no way we would miss it.

and Dumbo, the flying elephant!

The highlight for Disneyland in Summer must definitely be this little fellow, Stitch. C wasn't too fond of him because she found him "ugly" and "why blue" but by the end of the day, she was enthusiastic and even took the initiative to join the queue to take pictures.

We went back to the hotel for dinner...

waiting for our food ...

C wanted to be a princess and so we did a little shopping while Daddy was in the restaurant.

Would our Precious be Aurore, Belle, or Snow White?

We bought our gown and headed back for dinner.

By the time we got back to our room, we were beat and our feet hurt. Still, we were talking about what happened and how much fun we had. :)
