Jacobs Gardens

Many mummies and I have been praying hard that it would be sunny today because we had great plans today.
My preparation for our much awaited trip to Jacobs Gardens started the night before actually and I woke up earlier than the rest of the family to get the final things done.

It wasn't much but I tried to get something for everyone.

Uncle JM arrived promptly at 8 to pick us up and we trooped down to the Gardens.

The children were already screaming in the car and couldn't wait to be out!

These were just some of the things we did inside the Gardens:

The kids watered some plants.
We walked on a suspended bridge and C was all jellied-feet! The braves ones were Yeva and Zinnia. There was even a cascading water! Then Daddy and Uncle JM led the kids into the maze and they were running around blindly quite literally. Yeva was asking me where her Jie Jie was and I said "Follow the noise."

By this time, Jun Heng and Joshua had arrived and they spent a considerable amount of time at the tree house. Cheryl, fierce as she is, is really just a baby; she didn't have the guts to come down the slides after she saw how high they were. The other children like Joshua and Yeva were all natural!

A family portrait of the Aws:

The Garden was very beautifully done up and a great place for kids! Besides the many fun things to play, it was also a garden full of herbs and spices.

Do you know what this is? It's mint!

And this is lime. I took the opportunity to show C the plant because really, she might think that everything came from the Supermarket.

Just how old do you think this tree is to have roots this big?

Well, very old indeed...

and C appeared to be a Lilliput beside this gigantic monster.

The girls were looking at some fish and they were this close to putting their hands in to catch them.

Here are some of the shots I took:

The kids were very amazed with some of the creatures they saw. This was probably C's first encounter with the grasshopper and the caterpillar.

Our rumbling tummies saw us to a quiet spot in the Gardens where we had our branch.

The kids sang and played games after they had their food and kept themselves entertained while the adults chatted. And after we were done eating, we headed back to the Gardens for the finale.

Cheryl so enjoyed herself, she even removed her blouse!

Parting shots:

... We will be back ....
