Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!

No one can resist Mickey Mouse!

Well, we have been extremely busy during the weekends but we know how much Cheryl loves Mickey Mouse so we decided that today will be the day where she gets up close and personal with her idols.
We quickly took some shots while in the queue. See the back drop? That's the famous Club House where all the fun things happen.

I gave Aunt Angie a call and she agreed that she would bring the kids down so at 6pm, we found ourselves in the queue for the photo-taking session with Mickey, Minnie and Donald. I had to quickly make a $30 worth of purchase before we could receive a pass for the photo shot and I made it in a nick of time (I grabbed $40 worth of hair accessories! Initially, I was looking at the dainty hair clips then I realised I would have to buy all to make a $30 purchases so I ditched them and went for the expensive diamante ones)

The children were waiting anxiously for the stars of the show to come on and Yeva and Cheryl were climbing all over us literally to catch a glimpse of what was going on. In her excitement, Yeva must have tagged on Aunt Angie's necklace because Angie lost her diamond pendant. (Terribly sorry, Angie)

When the familiar music came on, Cheryl looked at me with the widest eyes and her mouth agape. She was anticipating her favourite idols to come on stage and she was chanting the magic password "Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!"

There were so many people and Angie and myself (vertically challenged mummies) were no fight for the towering parents in front so we called for reinforcements. Daddy and Uncle JM carried our little ones on their shoulders so they wouldn't miss out any action.

The queue moved fast and immediately after our shot, we were shooed off the stage.

Here are some clips that Daddy took:

After that, we took some pictures outside before heading back to Angie's place. The children were pleased to catch Mickey in action. Actually, it would really be cool if the entire gang of Daisy, Goofy and the others came down but 3 is better than nothing.

We were glad we managed to catch them. It was their very last appearance. After the jostling crowd, loud music and 1 missing diamond pendant, would you trade them for the smiles, and delight on the children's faces?

This is a video of their very popular Hot Dog! song by They Might be Giants. C loves this song and she will dance to the music every time it comes on.

I even found the lyrics to the song:

"
Hot dog! (Hot dog)
Hot dog!

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
Now we got ears, it's time for cheers

Hot dog, hot dog, the problem's solved
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog

Grab my boots and a sandwich
Let's start a parade
Get the coconut drum kit
For Daisy to play

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
We're taking off, we're dancing now
Hot dog, leapfrog, and holy cow
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
It's a brand new day
Whatcha waiting for?
Get up, stretch out, stomp on the floor

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog
We're splitting the scene
We're full of beans

So long for now from Mickey Mouse (That's me!)
And the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"
