Uncle Ben was supposed to play Baby sitter today as Grand Daddy and Mummy had their check up in the hospital but that would mean that C would be out the entire day and knowing her, Daddy reckoned that she would run amok, would not want to take her nap, and be a real pain tonight when we pick her up in the evening.
So I called in to say I had to tend to Cheryl and stayed at home with our little girl.
Instead of staying at home, I brought C out for her long overdue Chicken pox jab. We waited for a good 2 hours before we saw Doc Loke and Doc commented that C is a little overweight! I knew it! Sigh... even young children have to watch their weight. Actually, it's me who is worried because I have been doing some reading on being overweight and its relation with diabetics and other related illness. Being a kid these days is tough.
After that, we did groceries shopping as I will be cooking dinner tonight! It has been such a long time since I cook a meal for Daddy. C was rather cooperative and she even helped me carried her diapers.
Daddy subscribed to Play House Disney and C has been glued to the TV since. She was very excited when I broke the news to her but after 30 min of watching, she screamed at the top of her lungs that I had lied to her.
C: Where is Bob, the Builder?
M: I don't know darling. Maybe it will come on soon.
C: I want Bob the Builder in the room. (her DVDs)
M: Okay, okay.
Okay, it is almost dinner time and Daddy is on his way home. These are some of the dishes I had prepared.
One can never ever go wrong with the simple yet delicious ABC soup. Broccoli is C's favourite. I make a mean dish of Sweet and Sour Pork but because C and Daddy love prawns, they get Sweet and Sour Prawns this evening. I also prepared a little something for myself; a dish from childhood; steamed minced pork with tong choi.
