After thinking about it for several days and many failed attempts, I finally made a trip to get some stuff that I wanted.
Immediately after I got back, I got down to work. C was busy with her Bob, the Builder so I took that few precious minutes to come up with something for her dinner.
I didn't really do a good job. But when C came out of the room, she smiled very broadly and wanted to be seated at the table for dinner. I have to keep practising because this is really not the desired look.
But I am rather pleased that she has taken to eating other food which she didn't use to like; like for example, she is now eating onions, kai lan, turnip, tomato and chinese mushroom. Persistence is the key when it comes to food and I have to cut them up into tiny pieces. She has this habit of spitting her food out if she even tasted anything foreign and I would have to tell her to hold the food in her mouth and then make her drink soup to wash it down. So far, it has been quite successful. :)
Then after dinner, both of us kept ourselves occupied with making sandwiches for her class the next day. C helped cut the bread and spread the cheese and finally the characters came out! Our Precious is a little funny creature. If I were to give her a slice of bread, she would usually just take a bite or two and then tell me that she is full. But if I cut them up into bite-sized pieces like these, even 2 slices isn't really enough.
