Yap, this is the first time such a thing has ever happened.
Cheryl woke up at 4 am and asked for milk. I gave her her bottle but she could not go back to sleep after and asked for more milk. I was reluctant to make more for fear that she might just throw up everything. However, no matter how I tried to coax her back to sleep, it was useless and she soon woke Daddy so at 4.30 in the morning, Daddy got up to take his shower.
Cheryl could not go back to slumberland till it was 5.30 am and as we were leaving the house for work, she suddenly awoke and cried like there was no tomorrow. She refused to be let down and clung onto me. I even resorted to buying her a toy from the ma ma shop but she still refused to be pacified.
Grandmother had no choice but to peel her off me by force and that sent Cheryl screaming at the top of her lungs. We have never heard her cry like that and I was so guilty. I was half-expecting myself to call in and take urgent leave or something but I know it will not sit well with my superiors. So I hardened myself and walked towards the car with Daddy.
Cheryl was obviously still sleepy and drowsy and she probably hadn't awoken fully. But we will never want to experience this again. Her screams were terrifying and at 6.30 in the morning, piercing cries and wails like these will send shivers down anyone's spin!
I will call her later on, just to check on her. Sorry, Baby.
