Party @ Aloha

Our Precious finally reached another milestone and we celebrated her second birthday with relatives and friends at Aloha Loyang. Some how, the bright little spark knew it was her day and she obediently took her nap for 3 solid hours; seemed like she was all geared up for the long day later on.

We reached the chalet in the afternoon and Aunt Angie, Uncle Junming with the kids in tow came shortly after to help us with the decoration, which was done in double quick time. Ah, what would we be without them?

And when the decoration was done, both of them turned baby sitters and brought the kids to the pool for a dip!

Aunt Diana, Juliana, Margaret, Uncle Ben and Grandmummy and Granddaddy reached the chalet not long after and they helped with the preparation of food. Grandmummy, upon learning that Cheryl loves Chicken Rice, decided to prepare this dish for her Granddaughter. Aunt Diana went about melting chocolate for the chocolate fountain. The chocolate fountain was a great idea because all the kids loved it and stood around dipping the goodies into the molten mess. Some adults too, could not resist the temptation.

When the food and the cake arrived, the party was finally in its full swing.

The highlight of the event must really be the unveiling of the Birthday Cake. The night before, I even had terrible nightmare that the cake would turn out differently! That was how stressed I was; I was sourcing and liasing with people about the cake for more than a month! We had initially planned to get her a carousal cake but because of the shortage in time, we decided to put that on hold till her third birthday. Aunt Diana was very kind to do the running around for me and I thought it was a brilliant idea as the kids enjoyed the mashmallow and while the rest of our guests savoured the cake.

When all of Cheryl's guests departed, Cheryl had a ball opening all her presents.

I want to put this on record: Thank you for coming! Thank you for the presents! We hope the food was alright and we hope you had a wonderful time! This was the first time we saw Baby Dorcus and she is really a doll! Aunt Yew Hui whom I have not seen in quite a way came too. Thank you, dear!

Alright, now for the confession: Of all the days, my camera had to go dead on me on this day! This explains why there are so little pictures and not everyone was captured. So please people, if you have some shots, do email them to me.
