For the past few nights, C and I have been concentrating on her reading. Ms May called me on Monday and told me that she realised C has become rather reserved when it comes to reading and she isn't very keen to read in class.
I had a talk with C and we both agreed that we should do more reading for now until she is more comfortable with reading long passages.
Today, C returned with this piece of homework: she has to identify the right sentences to the corresponding pictures and then write them out. C's penmanship has not been good as her letters are not proportion and the gaps between letters and words are never distinct too. But I must say, she did a good job tonight.
Even though I had to make several corrections to her writing and got her to erase what she had written, she didn't whine as much as she used to. :) I guess, me not losing my temper and rushing her to complete her work also helps.

hi natalie, actually i think cheryl is already very advanced for her age. to be able to write is already quite good progress given she's only in mid n2. is the expectation of the teacher too high? and thanks for sharing her progress and what she's been doing at home!
hey girl
I wasn't that worried initially but when I saw her classmate's work, I freaked out ... then the stress set in. Hahahaha
