After more than a month of planning and preparing the itinerary, the day finally arrived for us to begin our much awaited year-end trip to Japan.
The day started early with us at Changi Airport at 6.30am and shortly after, the Siaws arrived too. Yes, our families were going on this trip together.
Not long after we boarded the plane, we were served with our meals. C was happy that she would be having pasta and then she had her ear phones on while eating.
Daddy and my meals were then brought up to us.
After C saw that we were having cold noodles, she handed me her pasta and decided that cold noodles was a better choice. Haha!
As if the television on board wasn't enough to keep her occupied, she asked to do colouring instead.
After a nap and some 5 hours later, the first sight of Japan could be seen from the air. Daddy filled up the embarkation forms and we soon touched down.
Although it was only 5 in the afternoon, the skies were already dark. We bought our tickets for the limousine bus ride to our hotel.
We were surprised that what usually was a "guys" job was handled by women. This lady here helped us with our luggage and checked us into our rooms. After settling down, we decided to venture out for dinner at the near by train station.
On our way out, I was looking out for the trusty Mac Donald's because I was afraid that we might not be able to find anything suitable for the kids but C, who has decided even before she came to Japan to only eat Japanese food, said she wanted nothing but that. Thankfully, we found this little eatery which sells good Japanese dishes with decent prices.
Nothing like some colour pencils and pieces of paper to keep them occupied while waiting for the food to come.
Our dinner for the first night in Tokyo.
