C and Keziah waiting patiently for the gates to open.
Then the long awaited tour began... . We had a chance to peep into an ambulance.
This is the Rhino. This vehicle is usually found stationed at Fire Posts in the neighbourhood. They were due to leave the Fire Station at 11am.
C even had a chance to put on the helmet and carry the walkie. :)
Aunt Sandy, Sheldon and Sergio joined us soon after as well.
Here, the children had a chance to try their hands on some of the equipment that real fire fighters use. The little ones were delighted actually to see the mist of water.
Ah, the "crane". This thing could go all the way up to 10 storeys high and we were glad that we could ride in it.
The view from the top!
Next, the kiddos had a go at the very powerful water jet spray.
We then continued walking around and looking at all the vehicles and examining the equipment they had on board. We were told that even though all of them look identical, they actually had different functions to perform in times of emergency.
Daddy tried on the mask too! We also had a look through the thermal scanning goggles. In a building engulfed by smoke, fire fighters would use such thermal scanning goggles to spot the fires instead of just spraying blinding through the smoke.
The last demonstration for the day was performed by real fire fighters themselves, on how they make a quick exit to the ground when the alarm sounded.

After that, we went indoors to the Museum and toured around. There were many exhibits there and even some hands-on that we tried on.
