Swinging!

C ever mentioned that she wanted to take up golf but we had to say no because we weren't able to find time to take her. Recently, talk about us learning the sport rekindled and after a few phone calls, I managed to secure for us a slot for a trial session for Cheryl.

Coach Philip was very patient with C and was talking and building rapport with her before he started his training. He walked her through the rules of the games and what was expected of her at the driving range. Then he handled her a club and taught her how to handle it.

Coach Philip got C to practise her swing. We were glad that C was able to follow instructions and do as told. She had to swing her club 10 times before she could place a ball on the tee. This way, she wouldn't waste the balls and would in fact, appreciate having the ball on the tee.

By the time we were done, it was dark and although C had spent about 1.5 hours on the driving range, she was happy with her efforts and didn't once complain that she was tired. Well, she did mention that she was famished. 

We rewarded her with a meal at Han's and ice cream!
