C and I take our baths together pretty regularly and on some days, Daddy does the honours. We always use these chances to teach C about our different body parts.
Thankfully for Daddy and I, we aren't shy about our anatomy and will tell C how boys are different from girls. C knows the proper names to the different parts of her body like chest, nipples and so on. Then recently, I was introduced to this wonderful book, "Mummy laid an egg" by Babette Cole.
It's a book about sex education. Well, the book is very funny because it shows how parents often try to make up stories about where babies come from only to find out later that their children already know what the birds and bees are all about. So there parents, be honest with your children and tell them as a matter-of-fact where babies come from and dispense with the shyness. It's always better they hear the truth from parents than for them to learn about it from other undesirable sources.
Another book from the same author you can consider is "Hair in Funny Places". It's a book about puberty. :)
C adores the book! She has been reading it every night besides her Bible Stories.
