Cheryl has a new theme song; Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
She can sing it along with us and at times, she will just do it herself. She's got a good sense of rhythm and it seems like she is not tone-deaf! Thank goodness! Of course, the words do not come out very clearly and they are not pronounced in total accuracy. But the words "twinkle twinkle little star" are very distinct.
She does not fancy Barney's I love You anymore or London Bridge for that matter because these songs usually mean bedtime; which is something she does not really take to readily unless she is dogged tired.
She can also recite her numbers and will fill in the blanks when it comes to "two", "three", "four" and "ten". Somehow she remembers these words better.
I also learned what some of her gestures mean. Actually it was Daddy who understood her! She would pat the area under her tummy and many times, I agitated her because I didn't know what she wanted. Daddy promptly gave her her bolster. Yes, sometimes, Daddy knows best!
