Using a new club
Come to think of it, C has been playing for a while now and today, she wanted to swing her new club.
She started on it the previous week actually but wanted to show me how it was done. :)
Praise the Lord
One of the best things we can give to the Lord, is our voices and the children did a lovely job at doing just that.
Cheryl, together with Zinnia, Yeva and Emma have been in the Church Choir for a year now and during the course of the year, they have performed numerous times. This morning, they lent their voices to sing these two beautiful songs.
no prizes for guessing...
Daddy came back with news that he has 6 more days of leave to clear and it must definitely happen by the end of December. But because we are unable to go away for these 6 days at a stretch, we decided to do short getaways.
This will be our first visit there and we are definitely very excited about it. :)
"Friend to Friend, Heart to Heart"
C will want to go for the Holiday Programme at Josiah every semester break because she knows that she will definitely have lots of fun. This time round, the theme was on Friendship and we found out that she also learned about social etiquette.
Just some of the many games that C played while she was there. She learned about cooperation and team work too while playing these games.
She made muffins,
cakes, sandwiches, pies, and even dessert.
Well, the programme was never complete without handicraft...
She made a friendship band amongst others.
She was doing up her very own autograph book.
C also made coasters and place mats based on the theme of friendship.
And even a napkin holder too.
A personalised key chain and a hand-painted cap.
I was more excited than her to see what she had brought back because I knew she would be busy during the 5-days programme and would come back with many of the things she had done. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. :)
Kids Dash...
Last Friday, C and I collected her race pack for the upcoming Standard Chartered Kids' Dash. She has kind of developed a liking to running since her race with Cold Storage in April.
The race will take place next Sunday and we are all looking forward to it. :)
2010 Year End Report
This was the first time that Daddy and I attended the Meet-the-Parents session together but there is a first for everything. :)
Ms Novelle updated us on how C had progress over the year. Though she had nice things to say about C, she also mentioned that C was rather strong-willed. Yeah, Daddy and I are well aware of that because of our daily dealings with her. Yet some how, Ms Novelle said that it might not be a bad thing too because she encouraged C to speak up for herself should she think she was right. I guess it's good to learn social skills while interacting with real people and C has learned to be gracious and polite.
Okay, her academics...

Another academic year has come and gone and C will be in her final year of kindergarten in 2011. We are looking forward to her moving on. :)

Her teacher said she tended to code switch and that is not good. Apparently C could do it so well, she actually sounded fluent. We will have to correct this before it becomes a problem.

"Happy Birthday, Sergio!"
Birthdays are always fun! :)
This afternoon, we were invited to Sergio's birthday party. He turns 4 this year.
The Tans! Fun-loving, notoriously hospitable and seriously warm! We feel so honoured to be friends, really. :)
the birthday cake: a galaxy of stars!
and a doting older brother who played the tune of the birthday song when the other children were belting it out.
All the camera men had their moment-perfect pose ready...
for these funny shots!
