Another Wedding!

Daddy's friend from his former company got married and we were so honoured to be invited. This is Cheryl's second time attending a wedding banquet. The first time, it was Uncle Edwin's (This is also Edwin's big day) and Aunty Shirley's and Cheryl was only 4 months old then.

We took this shot when we just arrived! One big happy family!

Another shot of the ever handsome Daddy and the coy looking Cheryl. Do you see the resemblance?

Daddy's former colleagues from BII. That's the company Daddy was with. Oh, and that's the groom, Uncle Edwin.

We were seated at our table and the inquisitive Cheryl wanted to lay her hands on everything from the plates to the chopsticks.

Daddy gave Cheryl her first taste of soft drink, 7-up! At firt, she spat out the drink I think because of the gas and the unusual sensation she felt in her mouth. But ... given this look, what do you think she did next?

She asked for another sip from Daddy. This time, no wastage or spillage! Then the unthinkable happened...

The power of the pointer! Yes, our bright little thing pointed to the drink and demanded that she be given more. Daddy said enough!

Play and More Play

Cheryl went to bed at 9pm and usually she would sleep till the wee hours before she fussed for milk. I gave her 30ml more than her usual feed and she finished it all. Hmm... I don't think I should be at all surprised because she is almost 13 months old and she should drink at least 210ml per feed.

But at 11pm, she suddenly decided that she had enough sleep or so she thought and she did not want to go back to bed. She sat herself up and cried really bitterly. She would not lie down and did not want to be let down. Daddy was really tired and sleepy and it must have been really trying for him. Daddy carried her to calm her down and she was hugging him so tightly. But she started blabbering and Daddy told her in a very stern voice, "Play tomorrow. Sleep!" After that, she quietly went to bed. This naughty girl wants to play all the time!
It was a good thing she slept soon after. It is even better that this does not happen often because you will see that China is missing 2 pandas.

Monster!

That naughty and mischievous Daddy... he attended to Cheryl when she woke up from her nap as I was busy preparing lunch. Then he came out of the room saying "Monster, Monster!" From a far, I was wondering what he was talking about. Then I found out.

Daddy has tied her hair up in 3 ponytails! How not to look funny and totally weird?

Here is one of her favourite pasttime, sitting on her Daddy. Look at that smile! Isn't she getting prettier by the day?

"Champion Baby!" This is what she does whenever we cry out this phrase. Yeah, she is our Champion alright. Grandaunt June kept asking me to bring her for baby competitions but I told her, "Cheryl is our Champion. We don't need any competitions to tell us that."

"Excuse me, Do you want to be a model?"

I was walking along Orchard Road and going to meet Daddy and along the way, I was stopped by a woman who asked me if I wanted to be a model.

Hmm, this is the second time this has happened to me. The first time, I was also somewhere nearby and was with Daddy (who was just my boyfriend then) and a woman approached me asking if I wanted to do an ad.

I was very flattered! But like the first time, I also rejected.

Mummy's got a new phone!

My phone gave me problems some time late last year but I got it fixed. Lately, it started giving out signals that it's going to die on me again. Daddy quickly suggested getting a new phone, so finally, after the longest time... I got a new phone!

This is my phone!

I am so back-dated... But Cheryl was more excited than I was. I mean, she immediately wanted to play with it and put it at her ear. The old phone that I was using, she wasn't interested in it and sheepishly threw it away.

As for Daddy, he's got his eyes set on this one.

Meal Time, Vitagen Time!

Cheryl woke up from her morning nap and I was giving her lunch. She loved the noodles I prepared for her but she loved Vitagen more.

See the happy and satisfied look on our spark's face?

"Do you want some, Mummy? I picked it up from the chair though... but I am sure its good enough to eat still."

No meal is truly complete without Vitagen.

Auntie Diana's & Uncle Ben's Big Day!

Good Friday... Today, Uncle Ben and Auntie Diana tied the knot and joined our ranks. Cheryl was there and like always, she was the catching everyone's attention with her laughter and sweet smiles.

I will put up photos when the photographer comes back with them... silly me... I actually forgotten to bring along our own camera.

Routine Check

Cheryl went back to the hospital for her routine check. I had to take time off from work and together with Grandauntie June, we went.

It was a great relief to hear that the fits are not permanent. We just have to be extra careful whenever Cheryl gets a fever.

P.A.R.T.Y!

Cheryl recovered just in time for her birthday party to take place. She had a ball of the time. Our little sparkle knew it was her day and she really was the star of the evening. She was busy entertaining every guest and she was more excited opening all the pressies she received.

Thank you everyone for coming and sharing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with us!

This is her birthday cake! (Doesn't it reminds you of the mascot of Pampers diaper?)
Our first family photo! (With Cheryl smiling at the camera, finally)
Granddaddy & Mummy with all the aunties and uncles!
Grand uncle, who is standing right at the back, came all the way from Cameron Highlands to join us.
Too bad, Auntie Linda and Uncle Joel weren't able to join us. It would have been an even prettier shot!

More pictures!

Here are more of the pictures of the bash...

...and more

Cheryl was very excited and of course that little spark had to dig into her cake to have the first taste. Well, it was her birthday, so who was to say?

Look at her tear open the wrapping papers to her presents... hmm... guess there were so many presents, she didn't know which to open first.
